My dream is to be a: “Designer of charming and useful items intended to promote the pursuit of personal relaxation. Taking a nap, reading a book, lighting a candle, savoring a bubble bath or long shower, feeling the grass under bare feet, the light sound of the clip-clop of flip-flops, enjoying a long day outdoors at the beach or the park, planning an evening meal as an indoor picnic, curling up under a blanket to nap or read a book … these are examples of the necessary little relaxing pleasures to pursue in life. One must unwind in order to find relaxation. I hope that my offerings might be a bridge to the enjoyment of these small and sweet pleasures in life.”
About Me My great-grandmother said to never let anyone change a hair on your head. My grandmother has told me to trust enough to risk. And my mother said don’t ever change for someone you love, and that love will never make someone change. So I trust enough to be myself to those around me, for my own sanity. And I remind myself constantly what these pearls of wisdom are worth. The 3 things I want to do in my lifetime (well, this decade) are traveling, gaining more life experience, and increasing my education.
Likes / Dislikes Let me preface this by saying that I believe that anything can be made beautiful through a vision of creativity. I am very fond of modern fabric designers like Heather Bailey, Amy Butler, Tina Givens, Heather Ross, Denise Schmidt, Anna Maria Horner; there are many others that have awesome beautiful designs in their wares that I’m not mentioning. I am not too fond of batiks, grandma florals, brights, neons. I do like prints with large scale graphics or florals, or white & another color graphics. My favorite colors are blues, greens, and some purples. Generally enjoy a palette of muted color tones, not primary or brights. Not too fond of orange and bright yellow.
